A report from the springsteen show from a die hard fan

The bruce show was definitely amazing. You always get the feeling that no matter what # show it is for him, he’s giving it his all! On Saturday, we got to see the Born in the USA album from start to finish which was quite a treat. It’s not my favorite album, and I probably would’ve preferred to see the B to R night or Darkness on the Edge of Town, however, it still felt pretty special to see him perform the album that launched him into mega-stardom. I’m on Fire was quite eerie, and I don’t think it is a song he ever really plays in concert. I think because it’s such a mood dampener, however, the whole time I’m thinking “he never plays this, so this is pretty cool.” I think the craziest thing he did though was he crowd surfed from a smaller stage in the pit back to the main stage. I couldn’t believe my eyes, that a 60-year old man would do that. The crowd went crazy when he made it back to the stage. The show had the usual electricity, and it never gets old hearing him blast into the opening chords of b to r. Always cool to see the whole crowd coordinated with fist pumping, and identifying with the timeless masterpiece that it is. He also played a few of my all time favorites, The Promised land (which I love love!!) and Kitty’s Back was also a special treat for us Bruce connoisseurs.
